Sick trade value! Teams are gonna be jumping at the chance to get a 32 year old goalie entering the last year of his deal when the salary cap is gonna drop by around 7-8 million.

Although I like Frattin as a player it's a stretch to say he is a top 6 forward. Leafs gave up a replaceable 3rd liner, a backup goalie and a late 2nd. For a talented potential #1 the 500k also not significant.

Miller return should be decent based in his career numbers. And will fetch more quality than this. As he should because this was not much at all

This guy talking about the Sabres? I thought he blogged all the other teams in the NHL.

Nevermind. I read it.. It is about LA/TO.. All is normal. Nothing to see here.

Well since for w.e reason we always seem to acquire players that we were rumoured to be in on 2 years later (regehr, boyes, Leino)...I guess Miller for Oshie + would be an appropriate deal?

Miller would fetch more if he had more term left on his contract. I would expect Buffalo to get something similar to what LA just got: A top-6 forward, a prospect and a 2nd.

Wouldn't call Frattin a top 6 forward, more of high 3rd line guy. IMO fans here will probably be underwhelmed with the return. Much like he did with Roy, Darcy waited too long to deal him. He should have dealt Miller last year, value was much higher and we could have gotten a killer return.

Your comparing apples to oranges. You might as well cash in and tie the leafs to your blog somehow. Enjoy the hits

No thanks.

Rumor around the trade deadline was Miller for Halak & Russell. Can see the Blues throwing in a mid-tiered prospect, but anything more than that, we're better off leaving the team the way it is.

I was half serious since I kinda like Oshie I honestly don't see him going to St. Louis. Outside of the obvious untouchables there's nobody I'd really want from that team. I'd like them run with Enroth and Hackett so Halak is a no.

I don't even know why youd do that? It would mean there would be even more issues signing AP, Shat, Stewy and Berg. Millers cap hit would ruin the Blues. Right now I think you can figure out how to fit everyone. You bring in Miller and you're screwed.

Not really. Petro is going to get around Erik Karlsson money, 6.5. Shatty near Voynov, 4.2. Stewart near Backes, 4.5. Berglund near Perron, 3.8. Subtract Halak and add Miller, we still have around 2 million in cap space left.

You do all that...and I think your numbers for Berg and Shatty and Stewy are a bit low...and you still need to sign another 2 players... tight.

Edit: And you better sign some of these guys asap before they get ridiculous offer sheets thrown there way....

No, just one, a 14th forward. Capgeek shows Cracknell as a non-roster player for some reason, but he is included in my numbers and a solid 4th liner for us.
